Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head – T.I.
The eight studio album is classic in the making. Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head received positive reviews from music critics and having 179,000 units sold in its first week in the United States.
After choosing from 120 songs he recorded for the album and narrowing it down to only 16 was nothing short of amazing. Guest appearances from R. Kelly, Meek Mill, P!nk, Lil Wayne and many more gave this album the perfect blend it needed to be flawless.
T.I. hasn’t made an album like this since his fifth studio album, T.I. vs. T.I.P. (2007). Incorporating everything from club tracks and trap anthems to having inspirational tracks and a couple of songs for the ladies.
The first week in the year 2013, the album sits at number 2 on the US Billboard 200 and number 1 on the US Billboard Top Rap Albums.

Folarin – Wale
Wale teams up with DJ Clark Kent and supplies heat with the “Folarin'” mixtape.
Released on the eve of Christmas, the highly anticipated project has already achieved platinum status and well on its way on hitting it again.
Classic collabs with Chrisette Michele and from Maybach Music labelmate Rick Ross, are a given as well as strong buzzing artist such as Trinidad James, Two Chainz , and Jhené Aiko are also featured. Known for his wordplay and slick metaphors, Wale delivers his lyrics tactfully, speaking on monogamy (or lack there of ) with tracks “Bad” and “Cool Off.” While still giving you club bangers with, “The One Eyed Kitten” featuring Travis Porter and “Back 2 Ballin'” with assistance from French Montana.
Folarin mixtape is the perfect way to close out the holidays and is nothing short of amazing. If I had to guess, I would like to think this could be the buzz to push for a Wale album release.

Its Tha World – Young Jeezy
Jay Wayne Jenkins, also known by stage name Young Jeezy, is definitely a successful, independent solo artist, proving it with his twelfth mixtape.
“It’s one of the stronger releases from Jeezy that we’ve had in recent memory, and it’s fully deserving of the free download,” said King Eljay at AllHipHop.com. ” Jeezy’s improving his consistency, and even with the few filler songs sprinkled in, and if he continues in this vein there’s no real reason to think he’ll fall off any time soon.”
The mixtape comes with 17 tracks including a necessarily needed intro and outro.
Listening to this reminds me of the fresh, hardcore hip hop artist whose debut studio album “Lets Get It: Thug Motivation 101” went certified platinum. Not saying it’s a total comparison, but it has its similarities in the delivery. The “Its Tha World” mixtape would be his debut album (2006), remixed and reconstructed, but a 2012 mixtape version.
